We finally see Leo's backstory in this episode and... Man! That was heavy!

So as opposed to getting summoned or reincarnated like the other stories, he was created to be a hero and also partially responsible for transforming the world from technological advances to the sword and magic world. That's a kinda nice twist and I like it.

Not to mention Mernes's reaction after hearing his story was very adorable.

not sure what anime you and some of the rest of the people on here are watching... OFC Mernes is a guy, the Hero mentioned Mernes is a guy in like 3/6 episodes...

Yeah, I know you're like messing around since Mernes' looks like a female...or trap... but it's already been mentioned in like 2 episodes that Mernes' is a male/guy... by Echidna...and then by Leo when they were talking out at the lake... so there's nothing to question... unless you're just trying to make Mernes' into a female for you own desires... in which case.... you are into traps. Which is fine, don't hide it, be proud. ^^

So Leo was an experiment he also had friends but some of them died in the battle and some died of old age and now Leo is all alone for thousandths of years he lost count on how old he is and he devoted his life to save humanity but the humans doesn't like him as a hero they're afraid of him for killing demons weird people

It is because they fear his power. The only creatures that had power closest to Leon were the demons including the Demon Queen, Echidna herself, but he just defeated her and the creme of the crop without breaking a sweat.

In the human flawed persepctive, Leon's power level is more than qualified to be a demon lord or even a demon god as well. I do not justify their fear, but there were many good instances where good powerful men fell into temptation of their own powers and become a tyrant as a result.
